This behaviour is unacceptable.

Especially, using the funeral for obnoxious ambitions of young Ahmet Katunlu from Glafki who died unexpectedly, with unsuccessful provocative attempts from State appointed mufti and untrue scenarios being produced with unfounded accusations towards Xanthi mufti Ahmet Mete by racist and fascist newspapers have tried to mislead the public.

Also, FEP Party Mustafa Ali Cavus and other heads of some institutions that were not even at the funeral have been made part of these dirty scenario with unfounded accusations made. Those responsible for the defamatory news which deceives the public will undoubtedly answer before the courts.

As the FEP Party, we share with the public that we stand by the Mufti of Komotini and Xanthi, who were elected by our people and that any attempt to insult them is an insult made to the minority’s free will and we condemn such acts carried out towards our Muftis.
