We are marching for our Rights
21.07.2016-14:56
As the FEP Party on Sunday 24th July we are carrying out a democratic ‘rights march’.
On the anniversary of the Lausanne Peace Treaty which guarantees the rights of the Western Thrace Muslim Turkish Minority and on the death anniversary of Western Thrace Turks’ unforgettable leader and founder of our Party Dr. Sadik Ahmet, 24th July we are staging a march.
We will march for: - our rights - democracy - equality - to stop economic underdevelopment - a better tomorrow For 40 years, despite our requests and best intentions to defend our rights which are not given and to protest against the extortion of fundamental rights and freedoms of Western Thrace Turks we are expressing a democratic response. To make our voice heard we are acting as one. Remember ‘we are stronger together’ Taking into account requests from members, friends and the public during our march, prepared before hand to take place on 24th July we will also protest against the recent attempted coup in Turkey. Using undemocratic methods with force to bring down a government elected with the people’s free will and which disregards democracy is totally unacceptable and should not be accepted. The FEP Party which always believes in democracy, human rights and national will also protest against the attempted coup in Turkey. We are marching against democracy enemies and coups.... We greet with respect all those with respect for democracy, human rights and national will, not matter what political opinion they may have. As the FEP Party we hope for the best with the struggle given by the Western Thrace Muslim Turkish minority. Sunday 24th July 2016 Time: 16:00 FEP Party Headquarters – Komotini city centre Share
