10.09.2016-13:15
We deplore the act of Greece Rhodes, Kos and Dodecanese Island Turks Culture and Solidarity Association (ROISD) President Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kaymakci being deported from Greece.
We learn from a press release by ABTTF dated 5th September 2016, that Rhodes, Kos and Dodecanese Island Turks Culture and Solidarity Association (ROISD) President Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kaymakci and Vice President Ahmet Kirevliyasi entered Greece via Rhodes for a working visit in 27th August 2016 and went on to Kos on 30th August 2016. However, during the evening Greek police arrested and held Mustafa Kaymakci in custody alleging that he was banned entry to Greece. When Mr. Kaymakci stated that upon entry he was not notified and that he wanted to see the alleged document police told he that he could not he could not see the document and that it was not in their hands. It was stated the Association President Kaymakci could be released if he signed a paper that he would not proceed any action before national and international courts. Kaymakci, after remaining in custody overnight, signed the illegal documents and was released to be deported on 31st August 2016. He was put on a ferryboat to be deported to Turkey under police supervision. He was not even allowed to take his personal belongings from his hotel in Rhodes. We share with the public that such an incident, to happen to Rhodes, Kos and Dodecanese Island Turks Culture and Solidarity Association (ROISD) President Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kaymakci who has been President of the Association since it was founded in 1996, in an EU member country Greece is sad, inhumane and unacceptable. We invite all authorities to deal and solve this situation urgently. FEP Party Share
