FEP Party President Mustafa Ali Cavus Visits Neda Village

On Monday evening 5th September 2016, Friendship Equality Peace (FEP) Party President Mustafa Ali Cavus visited Neda village, one of the villages where the school will be closed, and met with parents and village residents.
During the visit Mustafa Ali Cavus stated their worry in the unjust decision to close the primary school and thus wanted to consult with the villagers. He also stated that they do not accept the decision of the closure of minority schools as it is unlawful and in violation of the Lausanne Treaty as minority primary schools have an autonomous right. Mustafa Ali Cavus also stated his support to the residents in regard to whatever decision will be taken on this matter. He also added that during the Alantepe Oil Wrestling and Cultural events he made a call during his speech for all those elected for joint action. The President also emphasised ‘minority education will receive a heavy blow with the decision to close schools and opens doors for assimilation, we will stand by any decision taken by the residents.’ The village residents stated that they also do not accept the closure of the schools, stand against this decision and have communicated it to the authorities. Mustafa Ali Cavus during this visit was accompanied by Secretary General Aydin Ahmet, CEC Members Huseyin Haci Mehmet and Ismail Salih. Share
