Neda village’s residents communicated to FEP Party President Mustafa Ali Cavus that they do not want the school to be closed and for this purpose they will fight until the end, if necessary they will cover the teachers’ expenses, as it was before.

FEP Party President Mustafa Ali Cavus stated he appreciates the just resistance and that in accordance with the Lausanne Treaty minority schools have a special status and that authorities need to hear the voice of the committees and public. Furthermore Ali Cavus stated that there is no good intention in the closure of the schools as there has been no change in the quality of the schools which have joined. If there was good intention, then demand for a minority school in the Harmanlik district would have been met and the quality of education in minority schools would improve.

Mustafa Ali Cavus explained the difficulty in understanding why the insistence in the closure of schools and that the decision needs to be withdrawn. President Mustafa Ali Cavus expressed his support for the residents of Neda in their just struggle and that as a Party they are ready to do what is needed on their part.
