03.12.2016-12:38
On Friday 25th November, Friendship Equality Peace Party President Mustafa Ali Cavus visited Amaranta village and carried out Friday prayer with the residents.
After prayer, FEP Party President Mustafa Ali Cavus, addressed the congregation in Amaranta Mosque’s garden. He began by greeting the people and stated that they are continuing with their struggle for rights arising from the Lausanne Treaty for the minority; however some circles have accused them of being racist. Mustafa Ali Cavus continued, ‘neither the investigations initiated nor the accusations will stop us from our struggle for seeking our rights. On the contrary it determines us to demand as a minority the solution of the problems including education, muftis, denial of ethnic identity, management of foundations and economy. As the FEP Party we will continue to voice these problems on every platform until resolved. Young people are leaving the region because of the economic crisis, which is very upsetting and causes a worry for the future. Children of families who have been brought up with many difficulties do not have opportunities for employment in the public sector and therefore leave the region. Whilst waiting for the perpetrators to be caught and brought to justice following the attack on the FEP Party on 8th December 2015, many investigations have been initiated against me. But nothing will stop us for telling the truth and working tirelessly for the elimination of injustices.’ The President finished his speech by thanking the congregation for listening patiently. During this visit, President Mustafa Ali Cavus was accompanied by Youth Branch President Murat Ahmet and Public Relations Unit Member Ismail Salih. Share
