FEP Party and Greek Helsinki Monitor make an official complaint following the incident which took place during the joint event.
The Friendship Equality Peace (FEP) Party and the Greek Helsinki Monitor made an official complaint following the attack on the ‘National Minorities in Greece and Recommendations by International Organisations’ conference by the racist Golden Dawn MPs and members on Monday 12th December 2016 in Athens.
The FEP Party and Greek Helsinki Monitor’s joint official complaint about the incident on Monday 12th December 2016 at the Athens Journalists’ Union was made on Wednesday 21st December 2016 to the Athens Racial Prosecutor’s Office. In the complaint it was stated that at the time of the event a group led my Golden Dawn MPs entered the building and later the conference hall, here they subjected the participants to swear words, insults and threats, the Turkish minority members to racial and hateful rhetoric and threatened with death FEP Party President Mustafa Ali Cavus. Also within the official complaint it was stressed that, security measures were requested prior to the event in writing to the police headquarters and that no security measures were taken and no police were present despite a positive reply from the police headquarters. The official complaint made to the Athens Racial Prosecutor’s Office included news reports and videos of the incident. The FEP Party and Greek Helsinki monitor requested for the initiation of criminal prosecution. FEP PARTY Share
