On Friday 10th February, Friendship Equality Peace (FEP) Party President Mustafa Ali Cavus visited Selero village and carried out Friday prayer with the congregation. After Friday prayer, he addressed the residents of Selero.
During this visit the President was accompanied by Vice Presidents Ozan Ahmetoglu, Ramadan Duban and Ismet Tuccar, Secretary General Aydin Ahmet, Youth Branch President Murat Ahmet, President Advisor Bahri Belco, CEC Members Mustafa Sargo, Ali Salihoglu, Ferit Mestan, Ismail Salih and Youth Branch Board Member Riza Ibrahimoglu.
President Mustafa Ali Cavus began addressing the residents by greeting all; he then added ‘as a minority we were entrusted to Greece with the Lausanne Treaty, we have not seen by the Greek authorities tolerance, which was brought to this land by our ancestors. The articles of the Lausanne Treaty are very clear, especially our rights in terms of freedom of education and belief, however these rights have been usurped including administration of foundations which are heirlooms of our ancestors. Recently, in an attempt to silence our voice all minority institute executives have been faced with unfounded accusations and thus called to give evidence. However, on every platform we will continue to voice our justness and the injustices suffered by the minority, tirelessly.’ The President ended his speech by thanking everybody for listening patiently.
