The meeting at the FEP Party headquarters was attended by President Mustafa Ali Cavus, FEP Party Board Members, late Hasmet Ahmet’s children, Germany’s Lippstadt Western Thrace Turks Education and Culture Association’s President Alpay Ahmet, Board Member and Treasurer Alper Ahmet, Women’s Branch president Hulya Ahmet, Women’s Branch Board Member and Treasurer Serife Ahmet and their relative Serafettin Kurnaz.

President Mustafa Ali Cavus during the meeting expressed his happiness in welcoming late Hasmet’s children at the FEP Party Headquarters and that late Hasmet, whose funeral was carried out yesterday was a close common cause colleague of late leader Dr. Sadik Ahmet and was a precious elder to them. Therefore, to keep his memory forever the meeting room was named after him. Mustafa Ali Cavus also added that their aim was not to forget and to not let Hasmet Ahmet, a great motivator in the struggle for the rights of the Western Thrace Turkish Minority, be forgotten.

Lippstadt Association President and late Hasmet Ahmet’s son Alpay Ahmet expressed his gratitude and pride in his father’s name being kept alive under the FEP Party. Lippstadt Board Member Alper Ahmet, added ‘until our father’s death his always believed in the struggle and that’s how he brought us up, wherever we were yesterday, we are still here.’
