FEP Party President Mustafa Ali Cavus Attends KTYU’s Congress

On Sunday 16th April 2017, Friendship Equality Peace (FEP) Party President Mustafa Ali Cavus attended the Komotini Turkish Youth Union’s (KTYU) Congress.
The congress held at the Komotini Turkish Youth Union’s centre, was chaired by FEP Party CEC Member Mehmet Emin with FEP Party Vice President Burhan Hasan and Seckin Yetimoglu as secretaries. The KTYU’s Congress began with a minutes silence as respect for those former presidents and board members who passed away.
FEP Party President Mustafa Ali Cavus during the congress made a speech; he began by greeting the board and members and stated that the Komotini Turkish Youth Union, which he was part of the board, is very important to him and the minority. He explained ‘the KTYU is a century old part of the Western Thrace Muslim Turkish Minoirty in the heart of the Rhodope Province. Like every other institution the KTYU has received incredible pressure from the State and it has increased over the past years. Despite court decisions to close the KTYU, this is a place which has lived and will always live in the hearts of Western Thrace Turks.’ Mustafa Ali Cavus continued by congratulating all board members who have served this distinguished established of the Western Thrace Turkish Minoirty and wished success to the new candidates. President Mustafa Ali Cavus was accompanied by FEP Party Vice Presidents Burhan Hasan, Mutlu Osman Mustafa and Bekir Mustafaoglu, Secretary General Aydin Ahmet, Women Branch President Duygu Mustafa, Youth Branch President Murat Ahmet, Public Relations Coordinator Cigdem Asafoglu, Public Relations Member Ismail Salih, some CEC Members and MEP candidates. During the elections at the congress, among the new board member FEP Party CEC Member Necat Ahmet took part. The other board members elected were İrfan Hüseyin, Sibel Gülistan, Nihat Binbaşı, Özgür Yusuf, Ali Hüseyin and Taha Hüseyinoğlu. Supervisory board: Büşra Bülbül, Fatma Solak and Harun İsmail.
