The President was accompanied by FEP Party Secretary General and Western Thrace Turkish Teachers Union President Aydin Ahmet, FEP Party Vice President and South Meric Minority Education and Culture Association President Bekir Mustafaoglu, CEC Members and MEP candidates.

President Mustafa Ali Cavus, began his speech at Alantepe Oil Wrestling and Cultural Events by greeting participants and protocol. At first he stated that the minority has got a name and emphasized that this name is “Western Thrace Muslim Turkish Minority”. During his speech the President expressed that pleasing developments are wanted for the minority, but so far the rights arising from the Lausanne Treaty are usurped”.

FEP Party President, expostulating the community leaders of Western Thrace Muslim Turks said that we as a Party have not sided with anyone and not hereafter in general, association and in local elections . I regret to tell you that the previous speakers could not give a name to the minority. Minority is Western Thrace Muslim Turkish Minority. If we can not say this here, we can not say it anywhere. Not to deceive ourselves.

Latest events upset us deeply. Central Union President says that “we see the Muslims as a threat in our country . I talked with President, he would decrease 2% the election threshold but Muslim Party will enter to the Parliament, if it enters what will happen?”. We are a Party struggling for our rights. We will continue to defend our rights in our country and in Brussels. Western Thrace Muslim Turks are never alone. I condemn Mr. Leventis and call him to apologize from all the Muslims and Western Thrace Muslim Turkish who live in Greece.

One day FEP Party will send MP to the Parliament. Maybe for some people it might seem as a dream right now but we believe this wholeheartedly.

FEP Party President calling out to politicians expressed that a year and half ago FEP Party launched a signature campaign for our rights arising from Lausanne Treaty. He stated that our people supported the campaign intensively and the signatures that collected are up to 15 thousands. The President called all the politicians and people to support the FEP Party’s campaign for our rights arising from Lausanne Treaty.

The President ended his speech by thanking Arriana Mayor Ridvan Ahmet and all the team for continuing and passing on historic events such as the Alantepe Oil Wrestling and Cultural Events. He also wished success to the oil-wrestlers and gave an end to his speech by greeting people.
