It should not be forgotten that actions and politics based on political biases do not have a place in democracy and human rights.

The withdrawal of law amendment by Minister of Justice, which will give the way for the application of decisions of the European Court of Human Rights including the acquired rights of Western Thrace Turkish Minority associations ,put a question mark in the minds of minority people.

We want to remind that according to the international law obligation Greece has to bring the legal system so as to be implemented the decisions of European Court of Human Rights.

To become our democracy on the point that deserves in the field of democracy and human rights and what we have witnessed during the discussion of an important regulation the claims and accusations about minority were astonishing and distressing.

Friendship Equality and Peace Party believe the necessity of the regulation to be added to our country’s legal system which will give way to the implementation of European Court of Human Rights decisions in order that our country not be exposed to constant warnings on international platforms.

The democracy has already been late in abandoning the false politics which cause double standart in the field of minority and human rights. When are evaluated the issues that concerning the Western Thrace Turkish Minority it is essential the Greek political system to be exempted from political biases and show the necessary will.
