President Mustafa Ali Cavus also attended the Headquarters Board meeting. Western Thrace Turks Solidarity Association President Ad. Necmettin Huseyin thanked Ali Cavus for his visit, and said that “Tonight we are experiencing the honor and happiness of welcoming a friend and our teammate.”

Afterwards laid stress on that Western Thrace Turks Solidarity Association is sister organisation with all non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Western Thrace and FEP Party. “We are teammates who struggle, sadden and become happy for the same issues. Due to this reason; in the last periods after the solution of 50 years chronic problems of Western Thrace Turks in homeland, we will work together with all foundations within the Western Thrace Turkish Minority Advisory Board and will sign under important successes to get the usurped rights and the rights arising from treaties.”

FEP Party President Mustafa Ali Cavus said that as a Western Thrace Turk by coming to homeland he sees Western Thrace Turks Solidarity Association as his home. He also expressed his pleasure from this visit and thanked for their warm interests.

Also he stated that with the intensive efforts and work of Western Thrace Turks Solidarity Association, Western Thrace Turks who live in the homeland almost now have no problems. In the presence of the President he thanked all those who contributed.

Ali Cavus went on to say, “As before Necmettin President mentioned, to solve the problems of our compatriots living in Western Thrace and for the recovery of the usurped rights, we will plan and work together. I need so say that, we achieved a high number of signatures from petition to get Western Thrace Turks usurped rights arising from Lausanne Treaty. Up to now , the headquarters and branches of the Western Thrace Turks Solidarity Association has got a big contribution and I have no doubt that this support will increase much more in the last period of the campaign. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the presidents and executives”.

The consultation meeting with the members of the Board of Directors was in mutual conversation atmosphere and lasted until late hours at night. Western Thrace Turks Solidarity Association President Ad. Necmettin Huseyin stated that they wish to visit all the branches and meet their compatriots, together with FEP Party President Mustafa Ali Cavus in the forthcoming period “as long as our programme permits”.
