FEP Party President Mustafa Ali Cavus Visits BTTDD Bursa Branch 29.09.2017-15:07
On Friday 22th September 2017, Friendship Equality and Peace (FEP ) Party President Mustafa Ali Cavus visited the Western Thrace Turks Solidarity Association’s Bursa Branch.
Western Thrace Turks Solidarity Association’s (BTTDD) Bursa Branch President Dr. Ali Emin Latif expressed his pleasure from President’s visit and stated that ‘After our late leader and founder of FEP Party Dr.Sadik Ahmet the President and his team are defending Western Thrace Turks rights courageously and fearlessly. We congratulate them and want to remind that we are always near them.’

FEP Party President Mustafa Ali Cavus by thanking them for their hospitality stated that he sees this as a family visit. The President said about the restructuring process of the FEP Party which was initiated in 2010. Also the President stated that by going into the ins and outs of the matter like the late leader and founder of FEP Party Dr.Sadik Ahmet they integrate with public and make visits to a lot of families and places in Europe and West Thrace where their compatriots live. The President Ali Cavus emphasized that they received the fruits of their great effort in the EP elections “by writing history” and nonstop they continue their struggle to make FEP Party stronger and represent the minority powerfully .

The President Mustafa Ali Cavus continued by saying that ‘to attain effectively the rights which were given to the minority with the Lausanne Treaty we launched a petition and the support is very big’. He also stated ‘with the support of yours we want to carry to the highest step the number of compatriots who support the petition here in Bursa. I expect and have full belief that support will be given ideally.

Mustafa Ali Cavus continued his words by saying ‘ there has not been any changes in condition of Western Thrace Turks for many years, the rights arising from the Lausanne Treaty has still not been given and no party in power could solve the problems, for that reason we plan to open office in Athens at a future time’. “We are going to take part in European Parliament (EP) elections in 2019.We will need your support. One day you will see the FEP Party deputies will take their seat in Greek and the European Parliament. I call Western Thrace Turks who live in Bursa to support our struggle”.

At the end of the visit, Western Thrace Turks Solidarity Association’s (BTTDD) Bursa Branch President Dr. Ali Emin Latif presented a gift to FEP Party President Mustafa Ali Cavus to commemorate the day.
